B.R.U.F.C continue to work with our 3 local secondary schools (Bridlington, Headlands, Filey) delivering rugby in pe sessions and after school clubs for Boys & Girls year 7-year 11. This half term we have also seen some of our schools compete in fixtures and tournaments.

Headlands have enjoyed a triangular fixture with Wolfreton school & Hymers college for year 7, 8, & 9 to kickstart the new Rugby Academy at Headlands school. The year 10 & 11 boys also enjoyed a fixture against Hymers college at Bridlington Rugby Club.

Filey School have competed in T1 touch tournaments for year 7, 8 & 9 Boys and Girls against schools on the east coast in the Delta trust including Scalby School, Lady Lumley’s & Ingleby Manor. The year 9 Boys enjoyed success winning their T1 touch Tournament.

A good start to the academic year for rugby and we continue to work with these schools for the rest of the season to ensure plenty of playing opportunities for aspiring rugby players. We also look forward to working with some of our local Primary schools in the lead up to Christmas.
